Who we are

The Mount Sinai Muslim Center was established in 2010 as a non-profit religious organization. It is located on Mount Sinai Coram Road, close to the Washington Memorial Cemetery in Long Island.

The need for a place of worship in this area was envisioned by Dr. Mohammed Sameen, who saw the ignored wishes of the Muslim Community not just limited to Mt. Sinai, but also in the neighboring towns. Approximately four acres of land with two old barns and an old house were bought to convert one of the barns into a Masjid. Alhamdulillah, with the blessing of Allah (SWT) and a vibrant, generous community, a fully functional Muslim Center is in place which offers various services like religious, marriage, funeral interfaith, educational, etc.
